Raised in Kampala-Uganda, David is an Agriculturalist and Animal Production Expert, with focus on livestock farm designs and nutrition. He received his BSc. Agriculture from Makerere University (Uganda) and a MSc. Agriculture from Jeon Buk National University (South Korea). After training with the Korean Institute of Swine Technology and Gene Biotech Co. Ltd, he joined the International Development Cooperation Center at their office in Jeonju, South Korea in 2018. With experience working on critically acclaimed projects such as “More Pork for and by the Poor” (ILRI) and 4S@scale (SNV-BSU), he joined hands with associates to establish an Agriculture Consultancy firm. Since establishing SPODA in 2019, David has worked with KOICA on a sector-reviving concept that integrated Inclusive Business Solutions with conventional approaches to achieve sustainable agriculture development. His highly innovative approaches in advocating for probiotic applications in livestock production, poultry battery cage technologies, and commercial SMART hydroponics systems have transformed smallholder systems and created a significant difference within the agriculture sector. Currently, he serves as an Agricultural & Rural Development specialist under a KOICA project at the National Farmers’ Leadership Center where approaches such as Farmer Field Schools among others are being implemented.
