He is currently a Ph.D. student of Quantitative Animal Breeding and Genetics at Hankyong National University, Republic of Korea. Despite studying in Korea, his academic journey starts from Makerere University in Uganda where he acquired his BSc. in Agriculture majoring in Animal Science. It is from hard work and the desire to attain further studies that he was able to acquire an MSc. Scholarship to Jeonbuk National University in South Korea. His love for animal breeding and genetics got him an acceptance in the Korean Poultry Research institute where he contributes to the analysis of genomic data for genomic selection among other tasks.
His passions revolve around improving livestock through the utilization of data science with current interests including (i) methods for genetics and breeding, (ii) design and optimization of breeding programs, and (iii) analysis of phenotypic and genetic data to unravel biology and to inform new ways of improving populations.
